In your first session, we'll take time to get to know each other and discuss what brought you to therapy. I'll ask about your background, current challenges, and goals. This is also your opportunity to ask questions and see if we're a good fit. There's no pressure, the first session is about creating a comfortable foundation for our work together.

Standard individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes. Session length can be adjusted based on your therapeutic needs and goals.

Most clients begin with bi-weekly sessions to establish momentum and build our therapeutic relationship. As you progress, we may transition to monthly sessions. The frequency is always tailored to your unique needs, goals, and circumstances.

Yes! I offer secure, HIPAA-compliant video sessions for clients throughout Ontario. Virtual therapy provides the same quality of care as in-person sessions, with added convenience and accessibility. Many clients find online sessions fit seamlessly into their busy schedules.

Absolutely. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of the therapeutic relationship. What you share stays between us, with very limited exceptions. I'll explain these boundaries in detail during our first session so you feel completely informed and safe.

I draw from several evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),  Narrative Therapy and mindfulness-based techniques. My approach is integrative and personalize. I tailor my methods to what works best for you rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

Progress in therapy can look different for everyone. Some signs include feeling more understood, having new insights about yourself, improved relationships, better coping skills, and a greater sense of hope. We'll regularly check in about your progress and adjust our approach as needed.

I require 24-hour notice for cancellations via email or phone. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to the full session fee. I understand that emergencies happen, and I approach each situation with understanding and flexibility.
